Nigerian Soldiers Flee to Cameroon as Boko Haram takes over Mubi
According to Punch, 300 Nigerian soldiers fled to Cameroon when Boko Haram insurgents overran Mubi, from security forces on Wednesday. Cameroonian military sources said that Nigerian soldiers would be moved away from the border areas to more secure locations, where they would be disarmed, fed and eventually repatriated to Nigeria.

U.S Nurse who spent 5 weeks caring for Ebola patients in Sierra Leone refuses to quarantine herself
Kaci Hickox, a nurse who spent 5 weeks caring for Ebola patients in Sierra Leone was quarantined in a tent against her will in New Jersey. Whe she got out, she got a lawyer and slammed the quarantin system, calling it imprisonment and a violation of right to freedom of movement.

Cameroon army kills Boko Haram fighters
Friday's fighting in the far north of Cameroon near Nigeria also claimed four civilian lives, the ministry said in a statement sent to AFP.
A New York doctor who recently returned from Ebola-hit Guinea in West Africa has tested positive for the virus
Dr Craig Spencer, who treated Ebola patients while working for the charity Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), came down with a fever on Thursday, days after his return, officials say.
He is the first Ebola case diagnosed in New York, and the fourth in the US.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, 61, who is worth about $17billion, announced today October 23rd that he will donate $100 million to the fight against Ebola, which has killed thousands of people all around the world.
